Sheba’s Subterranean Refuge: Protecting the Pediatric ICU

Amid the threat of rockets, Sheba has unveiled an underground pediatric ICU as a testament to its dedication and commitment to patient safety.

In the face of adversity, Sheba emerges as an epitome of resilience, responding to the relentless rocket attacks and ensuring the safety of young patients by relocating a substantial part of the medical center, including the children’s ICU, underground.

It’s hard to fathom how this new home for the ICU, now bustling with activity, has just recently served as a car park. Through meticulous planning, the space has transformed into a fortified medical sanctuary, equipped with all essential amenities like electricity and oxygen. In this way, the healthcare team can ensure care continuity without compromising patient safety.

The move encapsulates more than just a physical shift for the dedicated medical professionals at Sheba; but symbolizes an unwavering spirit and determination to provide continuous, uncompromising care, irrespective of external challenges.

Navigating through these tumultuous times, Sheba’s medical teams stand firm, not as warriors of the battlefield, but as defenders of life and health.
