About the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Division
Welcome to the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Division of Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer.
We are the leading center for the treatment of childhood cancers in Israel, and we admit approximately 1,200 pediatric oncology inpatients and 4,000 outpatients yearly. Our medical specialists are highly experienced in treating children who suffer from a wide range of hematologic diseases.
This division includes the Pediatric Oncology Outpatient Clinic and Day Care Unit, the Inpatient Ward, and our Pediatric Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplantation Unit. Both our inpatient department and outpatient centers are located within the high-tech, comfortable facilities of the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital. These facilities feature advanced diagnostics and cutting-edge treatments for children with cancer and chronic blood disorders. Most of our procedures and therapies are provided on an ambulatory basis.
Our compassionate team of pediatric experts includes doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and creative arts therapists. We provide coordinated, multidisciplinary care and support for children and their families. Research on new hemato-oncologic treatments is rapid and ongoing, and our staff is actively involved in global scientific developments in order to provide the most efficient therapies for children with cancer.
