I was ill for over a year, and traveled to many places to find out what is my problem.
The answer was always the same, that there is nothing wrong with me.
I was given medications but nothing seemed to help, since I didn’t have an accurate diagnosis.
Here, at Sheba hospital, I have received help, clear recommendations and treatment.
I would like to thank the staff of the Neurological department, to Dr Feingold Yelena, to the Orthopedist Dr Yehuda Amit and to the coordinator Katy.
All of you have helped and supported me wholeheartedly and for that I wish you all health, success and happiness.
To the management and the staff of the Sheba medical center Tourism department, Dear ladies and gentlemen!
Hereby, I would like to thank your team for the punctual and warm attitude during my stay at the Sheba medical center (Mar 09 – Apr 04, 2014).
I express special gratitude to the coordinator, Zana Kalontarova, Who was supervising me, for human attention to me and my family, worrying about consequences of the operation.
From all my big family, my numerous friends and I personally, please accept our warmest wishes of every success and good health. You give to people the most precious in our life- the hope and, practically deliverance from the disease. Keep it up!
Dear Dr. Onn,
I find it extremely hard to write this letter to you; however, I wish to leave this chapter of my life behind. It is of utmost importance to me to let you know how my mother felt about you, life behind. It is of utmost importance to me to let you know how my mother felt about you, she knew she was blessed to have you as her physician. Not only that you never gave up on her, as they did at the other hospital, but you granted her two more great years. It was a wonderful combination of an optimistic patient and an optimistic physician. My mother deeply appreciated everything you and your team have done for her and was very grateful and happy with her life. Regretfully, the last week of her life was especially difficult, but I’m trying to put it behind and remember the previous two years as a symbol of optimism.
Please convey my gratitude to Dr. Appel, Dr. Korach, Dr. Felder and of course to Rossie. You
You are an amazing team!
I wish to praise the Pulmonary Oncology staff for their patience and the outstanding, professional and attentive medical care I received. It is also very important to mention the amazing compassionate attitude towards my husband, who had to endure with me and my sudden illness. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Onn for the privilege to be treated by him. Besides him being the most highly qualified professional, he is an amazing person. My thanks go to Rossie Navon, the chief nurse of the Pulmonary Oncology Unit, for everything she did for me. For being available and approachable every hour of the day, even on weekends and after her shift hours; for her patience, care and compassion. And of course, I have to mention Zviela and Osnat, the unit’s administrators, who were always warm and helpful.
To the Oncology Department team,
We would like to express to you our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the personal, warm and dedicated treatment each and every one of you had granted.
We are grateful and we thank God that the much-needed treatment was granted by this exceptional team.
As the precept goes: “whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world”- that is said about you.
With the deepest gratitude,
David and Dvora Pesach
We cannot begin to express the gratitude for the treatment you gave Roei. Each and every one of you, no exception, doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, made Roei’s stay at the hospital much more pleasant experience. You were so humane, patient, professional and caring and we are eager to express our gratitude.
So we say thank you…
Thank you for the dedicated and warm treatment Roei got when he was hospitalized at the Oncology Department.
Thank you for the outstanding professionality that characterizes your work each day, always doing your best and giving your patients all the assistance needed and much more.
Thank you for the patience, the giving and the humanity. In a profession so grinding it’s not obvious to receive such a warm attitude. The whole team of the department is amazing, and thanks to them Roei felt comfortable, safe and protected during his hospitalization.
Thank you for being there for Roei at the worst and the best hours– through the pain, the desperation, the frustration, the hope…for always being attentive to every request.
Thank you for supporting us, Roei’s family.
And finally, thank you for the fact that at such a horrible place you made Roei to feel home, gave him the feeling of security that followed him till his last day. Nothing can comfort you at such a hard moments, but it serves as a consolation to know that he felt comfortable in your hands, he was grateful and so are we.
Attached is a photograph of Roei as we would like you to remember him- healthy, optimistic and always with a smile on his face.
With love and infinite appreciation,
Dear Meirav Breast Center team,
After a grueling 10 months of “combat training” with you, I can tell the story of the amazing job you all are doing. The Meirav Breast Center provides a wide range of services for the breast cancer patients, all of them coordinated by just 5 women. 5 women who are there to receive the documents, phone calls, make appointments, receive biopsies, follow-up on the results, manage the waiting list and much more. All of those are just a tip of the iceberg. You all are the heart of this Center.
Attentive to each woman’s story (every one is a whole world in himself), comforting and reassuring, supporting and providing with a glass of water or a tissue at the most devastating moment of learning the diagnosis from the doctor, hugging those who come for a follow-up, or (the most happy moments) with a baby. I could continue count your blessed doings for much longer. The amount of warm heartfelt words and chocolates that you receive is enormous since you are the biggest support system the patients get.
I’m leaving now, feeling a little blue. There is something in the action surrounding this place that makes you addicted. So I’m sure I will be back, but for now, all I need is a little rest.
Thank you for all you are doing, it’s not trivial, especially doing it from the bottom of your hearts. I hope you will always find strength to continue, there are so many women who still need you.
Hope to see you only on happy occasions,
Love you all very much,
In August 2015 my whole world came crushing down around me, suddenly and without any warning. Seizures, followed by a discovery of a violent tumor in my brain. At this point my life has changed it course. On this way I’ve met the new light of my life, Dr. Leor Zach, as well as found another home: Sheba Medical Center. Beyond all formal degrees, great knowledge and professional excellence I’ve discovered a person with amazing personality, sensitivity, understanding, honesty and extraordinary values.
My journey was a difficult one: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, experimental biological treatment; my everyday life was dedicated to getting better. I always knew that somewhere down the hall I had a light. Dr. Leor (from Hebrew “my light”) has the ability to contain, to listen, to be there for me and for all my family members, with patience, sincerity and a lot of faith.
The statistics were not encouraging, but here I am- still alive, enjoying myself, active, present and contributing. At the same time, I proudly accompany my daughter, Lee Peled, towards the end of her medical studies.
Special thanks also in place to Elisheva Jan R.N., who was always there with her warm smile, understanding, and devotion. I have received the best team and the best treatment, and for this I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. Regardless of the more distant future and the state of my health, a special star was lit in my life, and I want to continue to spread the light of Leor.
I hope that in the near future, as a professional in the field of therapy, I will be able to contribute from my experience and volunteer to help patients who are still in the process.
Wishing you health and sending heartfelt thanks,
