World Class Medicine with a Personal Touch

Ranked by Newsweek in the “Top 10 Best Hospitals in the World”

Sheba Medical Center is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to all patients from all over the world. We are the largest hospital in Israel, and we set the standard of excellence in patient-focused care. Our state-of-the-art facilities are located on a comprehensive, all-inclusive campus with a full range of medical divisions and specialties. We have two Medical Tourism Tracks, for individuals and government bids, and treat each patient with advanced and holistic care based on integrated research and clinical practice.

Newsweek recently released their investigative report on the top ten hospitals worldwide, and Sheba is proud to be included on this prestigious list. The endorsement honors Sheba as a leading force in medical science and biotechnological innovation – skillfully adapting to the challenges of technology while always providing the highest quality of patient care.

Sheba’s core value is to constantly deliver personalized, expert medicine to everyone – with no limits or boundaries. We have treated thousands of patients from across the globe, including Russia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania, Switzerland, Hungary, the United States, and Nigeria. We offer an extensive range of custom-designed care in several languages, including advanced imaging technologies, laboratory testing, diagnostics, surgery, and progressive rehabilitation programs. To ensure the most optimized experience possible, each patient is assigned a dedicated medical coordinator to guide them through every step of their treatment at Sheba.

Mr. Shimon Peres (August 2, 1923 – September 28, 2016), Israel’s 9th President and Nobel Peace Prize winner:
“Sheba’s commitment to its patients crosses all borders and overcomes all prejudices.”

Ghasri recalls, “It was devastating. I was forced to abandon my future, my career. I was a young man starting life, and the illness changed all my plans. Over the next 30 years, I tried it all – examinations, treatments, medications – everything that medicine could offer. But nothing helped and the tremor only got worse over time. Finally, it reached the point where I couldn’t even hold a fork or spoon.” Read more >

Nataliya, a patient of Sheba’s shares her story: I was first diagnosed with cervical cancer when back in 1994. I was 22. I had irradiation and chemotherapy in the regional center. Then a year later there was a relapse, irradiation, and chemotherapy in Moscow. After 2 years we succeeded to stop the process. The second time I was diagnosed with cervical cancer was in 2011. I wish to praise the Pulmonary Oncology staff for their patience and the outstanding, professional and attentive medical care I received. It is also very important to mention the amazing compassionate attitude towards my husband, who had to endure with me and my sudden illness. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Onn for the privilege to be treated by him. Besides him being the most highly qualified professional, he is an amazing person. My thanks go to Rossie Navon, the chief nurse of the Pulmonary Oncology Unit, for everything she did for me. For being available and approachable every hour of the day, even on weekends and after her shift hours; for her patience, care and compassion. And of course I have to mention Zviela and Osnat, the unit’s administrators, who were always warm and helpful.

To the Oncology Department team,
We would like to express to you our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the personal, warm and dedicated treatment each and every one of you had granted.
We are grateful and we thank God that the much needed treatment was granted by this exceptional team.
As the precept goes: “whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world” – that is said about you.

In August 2015 my whole world came crushing down around me, suddenly and without any warning. Seizures, followed by a discovery of a violent tumor in my brain. At this point my life has changed it course.
On this way I’ve met the new light of my life, Dr. Leor Zach, as well as found another home: Sheba Medical Center. Beyond all formal degrees, great knowledge and professional excellence I’ve discovered a person with amazing personality, sensitivity, understanding, honesty and extraordinary values.
My journey was a difficult one: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, experimental biological treatment; my everyday life was dedicated to getting better. I always knew that somewhere down the hall I had a light. Dr. Leor (from Hebrew “my light”) has the ability to contain, to listen, to be there for me and for all my family members, with patience, sincerity and a lot of faith.
The statistics was not encouraging, but here I am – still alive, enjoying myself, active, present and contributing. At the same time, I proudly accompany my daughter towards the end of her medical studies.
Special thanks also in place to Elisheva Jan R.N., who was always there with her warm smile, understanding and devotion. I have received the best team and the best treatment, and for this I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Regardless of the more distant future and the state of my health, a special star was lit in my life, and I want to continue to spread the light of Leor.
I hope that in the near future, as a professional in the field of therapy, I will be able to contribute from my experience and volunteer to help patients who are still in the process.

Wishing you health and sending heartfelt thanks.

Dear Meirav Breast Center team,
After a grueling 10 months of “combat training” with you, I can tell the story of the amazing job you all are doing. The Meirav Breast Center provides a wide range of services for the breast cancer patients, all of them coordinated by just 5 women. 5 women who are there to receive the documents, phone calls, make appointments, receive biopsies, follow up on the results, manage the waiting list and much more. All of those are just a tip of the iceberg. You all are the heart of this Center.
Attentive to each woman’s story (every one is a whole world in himself), comforting and reassuring, supporting and providing with a glass of water or a tissue at the most devastating moment of learning the diagnosis from the doctor, hugging those who come for a follow-up, or (the most happy moments) with a baby. I could continue count your blessed doings for much longer. The amount of warm heart-felt words and chocolates that you receive is enormous, since you are the biggest support system the patients get.
I’m leaving now, feeling a little blue. There is something in the action surrounding this place that makes you addicted. So I’m sure I will be back, but for now, all I need is a little rest.
Thank you for all you are doing, it’s not trivial, especially doing it from the bottom of your hearts. I hope you will always find strength to continue, there are so many women who still need you.
Hope to see you only on happy occasions,
Love you all very much.

Dear All,

I am writing to express my deep gratitude for the time and efforts that you have all spent during my treatment.
Since 2013 I have been treated at your hospital and despite my very serious condition (kidney carcinoma and several progressive lesions in the liver) your team was able to bring me hope again. You have not only return my life but also given peace into the souls of my family. I would like to thank you for your extreme friendliness and support. All of you have made all beyond your efforts to help me recover from the life-threatening disease.
Thanks to your staff who has taken correct actions at the right time now I am very progressively recovering. With the medicines you have prescribed I am sure that I will be able to spend more time with my grandchildren and family.
On behalf of my whole family we wish you from the bottom of our hearts health and to be always committed at your work.
Once again, thanks to all of your team for the kindness and cooperation, especially to Dr. Raya Leibowitz and Medical Coordinator – Larissa Grodberg.

Victor Ivanov and Family
Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Dear Larisa, Good afternoon!

I have been a patient of your clinic for nine years and counting. Sheba is truly a one of a kind establishment – it’s a place that not only provides quality medical services, but also gives me hope and confidence every time I visit – so much so that I want to come back even when I am perfectly healthy, just to experience this blissful positive energy.

The International Medical Tourism Division works wonders – I think that the top-notch state of medical tourism can be largely attributed to their work. But above everyone else, I’d like to thank you personally, Larisa – for being my unyielding medical coordinator, for your professionalism, helpfulness, compassion, kindness and a knack for sorting all matters out promptly!

Thanks for everything you’ve done for me!

Kind regards, Vladimir B.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to my curator Larisa Grodberg. She is a true professional, very responsible and punctual. She appeared at the right time, when we needed help, with her gentle calming voice and a lot of patience. This is a person who listens with her soul. Dear Larisa, thank you for your understanding and for helping people. Elena, I wish you more people like her in you team!
