In March 2019, Newsweek released their investigative report on the “Best Hospitals in the World,” and Sheba Medical Center is proud to be included on this list. According to Newsweek, “The hospitals on our list are all world leaders in health care, but these are the very best – the top ten.” Sheba was recognized largely for its extensive range of outstanding medical divisions and specialties, its affiliation with Tel Aviv University, and its treatment of more than one million patients yearly.
At Sheba, our skilled physicians and scientists collaborate regularly with international medical centers with the goal of advancing medical innovation, biotechnology, and patient care around the globe. We recently partnered with the Swiss Lonza Group to develop and optimize gene therapies for leukemia and lymphoma, and we formed a joint research project with OKI Electric Industry Ltd to explore new preventive measures against dementia in seniors. Presently, over one quarter of all medical clinical research in Israel is conducted at Sheba.
As we strive to revolutionize the international healthcare industry, Sheba’s expert and compassionate team remains focused on treating patients with the highest quality care.
“Never resting on our laurels, Sheba will continue pushing the boundaries
to find cures and treatments that will not only benefit our patients in Israel but
also benefit mankind around the globe.”
Professor Yitzhak Kreiss, Director General of Sheba
