Led by Prof. Raoul Orvieto, the IVF unit at Sheba, one of the prominent IVF units in the country, offers a comprehensive approach to every aspect of patient care. The unit team offers unparalleled experience in all areas of reproductive medicine including the most advanced and effective treatments for infertility.
To ensure that both women and men can get the best services available, our unit works in close collaboration with the unit of reproductive surgery, the center of endometriosis, andrology clinic, and sperm bank. All of the most advanced treatment options to help couples have a baby are available at the Sheba IVF unit. The various treatments include: In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), in vitro maturation (IVM), oocytes and embryos cryopreservation, ovarian tissue freezing, pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), male factor interventions (TESA/TESE/EEJ).
Prof. Raoul Orvieto has been author and co-author of more than 250 publications in national and international journals. His scientific interests include various aspects of controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH). Preimplantation genetic screening (PGS). The role of GnRH-analogues, and specifically GnRH agonist versus antagonist in COH for IVF and several aspects of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS): pathophysiology, prediction, prevention, and its relation to the inflammatory response.
