Welcome to our Pediatric Surgery Department one of the newest and most advanced departments of the Sheba Medical Center. Using a multidisciplinary approach, we provide a range of general and specialized surgical services to children of all ages, from infants to adolescents. To make sure you receive the best possible treatment, we are constantly engaged in breakthrough clinical research to discover and implement new medical strategies. Our doctors apply all their efforts and knowledge to custom-design an efficient treatment plan for unique medical condition of each child.
We also strive to create experience as pleasant as possible for family members, with comfortable accommodations. Our compassionate staff will be by your side every step of the treatment; from your child initial consultation to his or her discharge. You will be assigned a personal coordinator who speaks your language and can arrange accommodations throughout your child’s hospitalization in Israel.

Specific Surgeries – Conditions We Treat
General Pediatric Surgery:
we treat approximately 3,000 inpatients per year and provide care for approximately 1,000 outpatient visits. There are 20 beds allocated, some of which are in private rooms to enhance comfort for both the patient and family.
We Treat The Following Disorders:
Congenital Diseases and Malformation, Umbilical Hernia (performed as a part of day care), Inguinal Hernia, Esophageal Atresia, High Imperforated Anus, Hydrocele, Chest Deformity, Surgical aspects of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hirschsprung’s disease, combined Pediatric-Oncologic procedures, Endocrinal glands and tumors, and many other conditions.
Pediatric Orthopedics:
we perform prolongations of limbs and surgical correction of limb deformities.
Pediatric Urology:
these procedures deal primarily with the evaluation and treatment of cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerve disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. Cutting-edge technologies are used in different surgical treatments, and about 150 procedures are conducted each year. Dr. Zeev Feldman is the Director of this division.

Pediatric ENT (Ear, Nose, And Throat):
we work together with the Center of Hearing and Communication Disorders to promote the best possible care. Our team has performed over 300 cochlear implantations, in addition to numerous other procedures.
Pediatric Plastic Surgery:
we perform a vast array of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures for newborns and children, such as Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate, Craniofacial Anomalies, Burn Care and Reconstruction, Skin Tumors, Skin Graft, and more. Dr. Eyal Winkler is the Director of this unit.

Dr. Daniel Sinhar
“We are constantly looking to improve our level of professional services, giving superior, cutting-edge medical treatments with a courteous, caring manner,” says Dr. Sinhar.Dr. Sinhar trained as a pediatric surgeon in the Pediatric Surgery Department at the Soroka Medical Center. Following his internship, he start working as a senior physician at the Dana Children’s Hospital at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. After his studies, Dr. Sinhar also served as a physician in the Israeli Defense Forces.
