FAQ: How do we handle foreign currency, banking and ATMs while visiting?

Where can I exchange foreign currency into NIS (New Israeli Shekel)?

Upon your arrival in Israel, you can change your local currency into NIS at one of the bank offices at the airport. Once you have left the airport, you can exchange money at any bank or post office. In addition, there are many private currency exchange offices located throughout Tel Aviv. Alternatively, you can withdraw money in NIS from an ATM machine. We recommend making sure your credit card PIN number is only 4 digits to ensure that you do not have any problems using the local ATM machines.

Is there a bank or ATM on Sheba’s campus?

Yes, we have both a bank office and an ATM located on-site at Sheba Medical Center.
