Thoracic (Chest) Surgery in Israel
Thoracic surgery, also known as chest surgery, involves the organs of the chest, including the chest wall – breastbone and rib cage, lungs, trachea, and esophagus. At Sheba Medical Center, our Department of Thoracic Surgery features a world-class team of physicians experienced in many types of innovative procedures. We perform more than 400 chest operations every year. To provide each patient with comprehensive, supportive care, our thoracic surgeons work closely with specialists from other hospital divisions, including oncology, pulmonology, and gastroenterology.
