Collaboration Between Sheba and the UAE Health Authorities Reaches New Heights

UAE Health
Prof. Dudkiewicz, Chairman of Sheba’s Rehabilitation Division, visited hospitals in the UAE to share his expertise

After signing the Abraham Accords in 2020, which normalized relations between Israel and the UAE, Sheba Medical Center signed a memorandum of understanding with health authorities in Abu Dhabi. Consequently, Sheba will provide healthcare services via its virtual hospital – Sheba Beyond.

Prof. Israel Dudkiewicz, Chairman of the Rehabilitation Division at Sheba Medical Center, recently visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of the Visiting Professors Project.
This first visit, which lasted for several days, paves the way for future collaborations between Sheba and the Emirates Health Ministry.

One of the visit’s goals was to share know-how with local medical teams. An expert orthopedic surgeon, Prof. Dudkiewicz visited two hospitals, one of which is a rehabilitation hospital, and consulted on several medical cases requiring complex rehabilitation.
