“We were also able to take a few steps forward in terms of commercialization. Even though we have only been active in the field since 2007, we have achieved amazing success and had a lot of favorable exits,” says Prof. Noy. The most recent and pertinent example is the Sheba Rehabilitation Hospital win in the Technological Incubators Program under the Office of the Chief Scientist. Since September 2016, a technological incubator has operated at Sheba in collaboration with prestigious international institutes, such as Boston Scientific. According to Prof. Noy, “This achievement is not only the result of the impressive technological infrastructures in Sheba but is primarily due to our human infrastructure. The fact that there are so many people here who conduct basic research in various fields has tipped the scales in favor of the establishment of the International Incubator at Sheba Medical Center.”
