Why are myeloma cells used in hybridoma?

Myeloma cells are used in hybridoma because they are cancerous plasma cells that can be fused with normal antibody-producing B cells to create immortal hybrid cells. These hybrid cells, called hybridomas, possess the ability to produce a specific antibody indefinitely.
