Does multiple myeloma cause high blood pressure?

Multiple myeloma doesn’t typically cause high blood pressure directly. However, some medications used in the treatment of myeloma, such as corticosteroids or certain chemotherapy agents, can lead to increased blood pressure. Additionally, kidney damage or dysfunction, a possible complication of myeloma, can also contribute to high blood pressure. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function is crucial for patients with multiple myeloma.
