Does multiple myeloma cause hair loss?

Hair loss (alopecia) is not directly caused by multiple myeloma itself. However, certain chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of multiple myeloma can cause hair loss. It’s essential to note that not all treatments for multiple myeloma result in hair loss, and the extent and pattern can vary depending on the specific drugs used. Hair usually grows back after chemotherapy is completed, but it might have a different texture or color.
