Can multiple myeloma spread to lungs?

Direct lung involvement by multiple myeloma is rare. However, on occasions, extramedullary plasmacytomas can form in the lungs. More commonly, respiratory complications in myeloma patients might be due to infections, other malignancies, or treatment side effects.
