Can multiple myeloma cause neuropathy?

Yes, peripheral neuropathy, characterized by numbness, tingling or pain in the extremities, can be a side effect of some multiple myeloma treatments, especially certain chemotherapy agents. Rarely, the disease itself might lead to neuropathy due to the compression of spinal nerves. Proper monitoring, dose adjustments or alternative therapies might be considered to address neuropathy symptoms.
