FAQ: Can an ultrasound detect Hodgkin’s lymphoma?

Ultrasounds can be used to examine the lymph nodes that are near the surface of the skin. For Hodgkin’s lymphoma cases, the best route for diagnosis is a biopsy. In certain cases, ultrasound may be used to guide the biopsy procedure when the lymph is located in deeper areas of the body such as the abdomen.
