The doctors in Cyprus were running out of time to save this patient’s life. So in order to access an ECMO machine, they called upon their cardiac colleagues at the Leviev Heart Center at Sheba Medical Center
Within the short span of only seven hours, a skilled team of four cardiac specialists transported an ECMO machine to the Cypriot hospital, where they performed the lifesaving procedure, stabilized the patient, and airlifted her to Israel for further treatment at Sheba. Presently, this patient is recovering nicely at the Leviev Heart Center.
Working together, the doctors from Sheba and Nicosia are true heroes!
