Prof. Eliakim specializes in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and he has published over 250 original articles, books, and chapters in medical literature. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and then completed a two-year training course at Washington University, St. Louis, USA. Prof. Eliakim is also a visiting professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and a professor of medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
