About

Prof. Pessach serves as Director of the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital, Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Deputy Director of the Integrated Medical Center at Sheba Medical Center, where he also practices as a senior pediatric intensive care physician. He additionally serves as Chair of the Sheba Medical Center Resuscitation Committee.

Prof. Pessach completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital at Sheba Medical Center. He went on to specialize in Immunology and Allergy at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA, and, following his return to Israel, completed advanced training in Pediatric Intensive Care at Sheba.

He is a graduate of the Talpiot Medical Leadership Program, dedicated to identifying and developing future leaders in Israeli medicine.

Today, Prof. Pessach is a renowned researcher and an advisor to startup companies developing innovative technologies in intensive care. He has been selected multiple times for Forbes’ list of the Best Doctors in Israel, reflecting his clinical excellence and national leadership in pediatric and critical care medicine.
