Dr. David Hazzan manages the minimally invasive and robotic surgery unit at the Sheba Medical Center. He is a specialist in general surgery, laparoscopic and robotic surgery and bariatric surgery for the treatment of obesity. Dr. Hazzan has founded and managed the minimally invasive surgery unit at Carmel Hospital in Haifa and then managed the Department of Surgery for 4 years Dr. Hazzan has accumulated extensive experience and is a leader in Israel in abdominal cavities and groin surgery using a da-Vinci robot. Dr. Hazzan has performed hundreds of gastrointestinal operations with laparoscopic approach, including gastrectomy of the stomach, small intestine and large intestine due to malignancy, Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerosa colitis, surgery for the treatment of reflux, surgery for the treatment of morbid obesity, cervicalctomy of the adrenal glands.
