Dorit Zilberman

Dr. Dorit Zilberman is an expert in Urology at Sheba Medical Center.
She is a graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Zilberman specialized in Urological Surgery from 2001 to 2007 at Sheba Medical Center. During these years she also completed her MA in Urology, which she graduated with honors.
After completing her internship, Dr. Zilberman continued her specialization in Robotic Laparoscopic Surgery and Endourology, at the Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina, US.

After very intensive work, and with the great experience she accumulated there, she returned to Sheba Medical Center in late 2010. At the same time, a da Vinci robot was purchased by the hospital and Dr. Zilberman was one of the pioneers of robotic surgery in the medical center.

Since 2010, Dr. Zilberman has been a senior member of the Department of Urology at the Sheba Medical Center, focusing on urology, urologic oncology and endo-urology, and performs a wide range of urological surgeries with an emphasis on robotic endoscopic surgery (minimally invasive, preferably through the body orifice) as well as lithotripsy.

Dr. Zilberman is an active member of the Israeli Urological Association, the American Urological Association, the Endorological Society and the European Association of Urology.

She serves a Senior Clinical Lecturer from Tel Aviv University. Dr. Zilberman has published dozens of professional articles, some of which have been awarded prestigious prizes by the Israeli and American Urological Associations. She has co-authored chapters in professional literature, as well as in guiding groups of medical students as a part of their surgical studies.
