Israel Awarded 6th Place in the Health Care Efficiency Index

In 2018, Israel climbed up one level to 6th place on the Bloomberg Health Care Efficiency Index. Every year, Bloomberg publishes a new index that assesses and ranks the health care efficiency of 56 countries. Baby Receives Heart Transplant

Palestinian Baby Receives Heart Transplant from a Jewish Child

Moussa, a six-month-old Palestinian baby from Ramallah, became the first recipient of a Jewish heart at Sheba Medical Center’s Pediatric & Congenital Heart Surgery Unit. He arrived at Sheba in critical condition, and according to the doctors he would not have survived without the transplant. The parents of a one-year-old Jewish child who died from a chronic illness donated the heart.

Now at Sheba – Revolutionary SRT-100 Vision System from Sensus Healthcare

Sensus Healthcare recently sent its SRT-100 Vision system to Sheba Medical Center. This advanced device uses Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy (IGSRT) to enable the non-invasive treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC). The new SRT-100 Vision system unit is the third of its kind in Israel, with the other two installed previously at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.
